To emphasize this continuous commitment to healthcare, Nipro built its own Institute of Medical Practice, or iMEP, in 2018 in Belgium, designed to train medical professionals in realistic clinical settings. Trainings are provided based on the blended learning principles such as plenary session, hands-on training, scenario-based simulation training, gamification, e-learning and virtual classroom. 

iMEP invested in 2 fully equipped simulation rooms. Both rooms have a hemodialysis setting with high-fidelity manikins having vascular access sites (arteriovenous fistula and central venous catheter) developed by ourselves. Currently, we practice 4 hemodialysis scenarios made in collaboration with Nephrologists and Crisis Resource Management (CRM) professionals. Together with Way2Play we developed a board game for Crisis Resource Management. iMEP is having 2 observation & debriefing rooms where participants can observe through live streaming. iMEP can also stream simulation sessions outside our building. Our programs are accredited by The European Dialysis and Transplant Nurses Association/European Renal Care Association (EDTNA/ERCA).
