Mission Statement

To foster innovation, collaboration, and excellence in simulated participants methodology within healthcare education across Europe and beyond, advancing the field through research, best practices, and professional development to improve patient outcomes.

 

Goals

  1. Promote Best Practice
    1. Promote best practice guidelines including the ASPE standards of best practice
    2. Ensure that practices involving simulated participants adhere to the highest ethical standards, including considerations for diversity, equity, and inclusion
  2. Foster Collaboration and Networking
    1. Create platforms for knowledge exchange and networking among simulated participant educators, researchers, and simulated participants within the simulated participant community.
    2. Organize annual opportunities for networking including workshops, and webinars to share best practices and current research findings.
    3. Collaborate with the global simulated participant organisation ASPE, and work on international guidance and recommendations.
  3. Enhance Professional Development
    1. Advocate for and provide education and training opportunities for simulated participants, simulated participant educators, and those that engage simulated participants in their healthcare curricula.
  4. Advance Research and Innovation
    1. Promote and support research into established and novel methodologies, technologies, and applications involving simulated participants.
